Echinacea essential oil comes in a small 2.5 ml bottle and is one of the more unusual oils in the dōTERRA range. It is drawn from purple coneflower (Echinacea purpurea), with its drooping petals and domed centre, far better known in the garden than in a bottle.

Like Ylang Ylang, the oil is rich in germacrene D and beta-caryophyllene. Applied topically, it may help promote cleansed, healthy-looking skin: a drop in your lotion or in a little Fractionated Coconut Oil refreshes the complexion, and it has its place in a facial skincare routine. Its herbaceous, earthy aroma, with a floral touch, is valued in cosmetics.

A few drops are enough: a skincare oil to be used sparingly.
