Tea Tree essential oil, diluted in fractionated coconut oil and presented in a roll-on, is the most widely used skin oil in the dōTERRA Touch range. The tea tree, or melaleuca, is an Australian shrub whose leaves are distilled, and the same tree is harvested every year: it grows back in three to six weeks.

Its purifying, renewing effects give the skin a revitalising freshness. Rolled onto blemishes morning and evening, it cleanses and reduces their appearance; on fingernails and toenails after a shower, it purifies them and keeps them looking healthy. After shaving, it provides a soothing sensation; on the soles of the feet and inside shoes, it leaves a scent and a feeling of freshness. Already diluted, it applies with no preparation to sensitive skin.

Interesting fact

The tea tree owes its name to the sailors on James Cook's expedition, who brewed its leaves for want of tea while in Australia. The name stuck, although the plant is not related to the tea bush.
