PastTense essential oil blend brings together ten plants in a base of fractionated coconut oil: Peppermint and Spearmint, Eucalyptus, Lavender, Geranium, Copaiba, Frankincense, Star anise, Rosemary and Coriander. Two mints for immediate freshness, resins and leaves to hold it.
Its relaxing, fresh and calming aroma grounds and balances the emotions. Rolled on, it gives the skin a cooling, soothing sensation, and releases a refreshing aroma during a massage. On the back of the neck before a journey, on the shoulders and back that you then massage, on the temples before a presentation, into the palms whose scent you breathe in. The blend is already diluted: the roller goes straight on, with nothing to prepare.
Peppermint on its own is sharp and its freshness drops away quickly. Held here by Lavender and Copaiba, and laid on the skin at this concentration, it gives you time to notice it.

At the heart of PastTense dōTERRA
Oil from the resin of Boswellia carterii, frereana, sacra and papyrifera
Often called the king of essential oils. It is obtained by scoring the bark of trees grown in semi-desert country, then distilling the dried resin that beads from the cut. Its scent combines woody, resinous and faintly citrus notes. Used in ancient Egypt for perfumes and balms, it gives the blend its depth.
Oil from the flowers of Lavandula angustifolia
The best-known oil in the world, and probably the oldest: the Romans already scented their baths with it, which is where its name comes from. Its linalool and linalyl acetate form that soft floral aroma, recognisable at once. It is the heart of every blend it enters.
Oil from Mentha piperita
A natural hybrid of water mint and spearmint, peppermint is grown for its high menthol and menthone content. Menthol is what produces the immediate sensation of freshness, whether the oil is diffused or applied to the skin.
Oil from the leaves of Rosmarinus officinalis
A Mediterranean shrub with needle-like leaves, held sacred by the Greeks, the Romans and the Egyptians. Its 1,8-cineole and camphor give a bright, herbaceous scent, almost resinous. It cuts through the sweetness of the spices and keeps the blend from turning into a dessert.
Fractionated oil of Cocos nucifera
This is not an essential oil but a carrier oil. It is called fractionated because the longest fatty acids have been removed, which keeps it permanently liquid and odourless. It is what makes it possible to apply the blend directly to the skin, with no stain and no greasy feel.
