Enjoy dōTERRA's Petitgrain essential oil
Petitgrain oil comes from the bitter orange tree. Native to southern China, the bitter orange tree was imported to Paraguay in the 19th century, where it flourishes today.
There are three essential oils derived from bitter orange. Petitgrain, which is distilled from the leaves and branches of the tree; Neroli essential oil, which is distilled from the flowers; and Wild Orange essential oil , which is produced by cold-pressing the peel of the fruit.
Petitgrain essential oil releases a fresh, floral, and herbaceous aroma prized in perfumery since the 18th century, lending sprays, perfumes, lotions, and body treatments a fresh, herbaceous note appreciated by both women and men. Derived from bitter orange, which has long been used in traditional holistic medicine, petitgrain essential oil has been used for cleansing purposes and internally to support a healthy immune system.
It is this long-proven effectiveness that makes this essential oil so unique in all aromatic uses.
