Tea Tree essential oil, also known as Melaleuca, is one of the first five oils dōTERRA ever offered. Distilled from the leaves of an Australian shrub, it contains more than ninety-two identified compounds, and its fresh, herbaceous aroma is immediately recognisable.
It is best known for its cleansing properties, and one or two drops on the chosen area give a soothing feeling, after shaving for instance. One or two drops in your facial cleanser or moisturiser help reduce the appearance of blemishes, a few drops in your shampoo cleanse the hair thoroughly, and applied to the fingernails and toenails after showering it maintains their appearance.
A single bottle therefore serves skin, hair and nails, which is what makes it one of the most widely used oils in daily life.
