A tropical evergreen that reaches fourteen metres, distilled from its inner bark, the very one that curls into sticks. Its cinnamaldehyde gives that warm, sweet aroma recognisable among a thousand others. It is the dominant ingredient of the blend, the one that gives it its identity.

These are not seeds but flower buds, picked before they open and dried until hard. Their eugenol content is among the highest in the plant kingdom, hence the peppery, intense note. Used in China and India since antiquity, it brings the blend its spiced depth.

Eucalyptus trees, sometimes called gum trees, are tall evergreens native to Australia. Their leaves are rich in eucalyptol and alpha-terpineol, the components behind the oil's clear, open aroma. This is the ingredient that gives the whole blend its structure.

A Mediterranean shrub with needle-like leaves, held sacred by the Greeks, the Romans and the Egyptians. Its 1,8-cineole and camphor give a bright, herbaceous scent, almost resinous. It cuts through the sweetness of the spices and keeps the blend from turning into a dessert.

Cold-pressed from the peel, with no heat and no solvent, which preserves its freshness. Its very high limonene content makes it one of the brightest oils in the range. It opens the blend on a lively note before the spices take over.
