A demanding citrus that yields fine fruit only under a very particular climate, mainly in Calabria. The peel is cold-pressed, never the juice. Its scent, at once bright and floral, is the most delicate of the whole citrus family.

A tropical evergreen that reaches fourteen metres, distilled from its inner bark, the very one that curls into sticks. Its cinnamaldehyde gives that warm, sweet aroma recognisable among a thousand others. It is the dominant ingredient of the blend, the one that gives it its identity.

It is not the plant that is distilled but its roots, which reach several metres underground. Hence that deeply earthy scent, smoky, almost woody, with no equivalent elsewhere. It anchors the blend and gives it its most tenacious base note.
