The Air-X essential oil blend brings together five plants: Litsea, Tangerine, Grapefruit, Frankincense and Cardamom. Two citrus fruits and a lemony berry for the opening, a resin and a seed to hold it, hence an intensely tangy, woody aroma with a herbaceous edge.

The first three are loaded with limonene, which gives the blend its cleansing properties when applied locally. Three to four drops in a diffuser refresh the home or the office throughout the day. In a spray bottle, a few drops with water and vinegar clean surfaces; in water alone, they mist a room after cooking. One diluted drop on the chest or under the soles of the feet gives a clarifying aromatic experience.

Frankincense and cardamom are what set this blend apart from a simple citrus assembly: they give it a base that stays once the freshness of the peels has faded.

Oil from the fruit of Litsea cubeba

A small Asian tree distilled from its berries, barely larger than a peppercorn. Its citral gives a soft lemon scent, somewhere between lemongrass and verbena. It carries the citrus notes of the blend well after they have lifted.
